AVOXI Appoints New CTO to Accelerate Tech Innovation in the Next Stage of Growth
ATLANTA, GA – Aug 4, 2021– AVOXI, a global Communications Platform as a Service, today announced that it has named Randy Layman to serve as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Layman, who’s currently been serving as VP of Software Engineering for the past four years, will take on expanded responsibilities across the AVOXI technology portfolio to propel AVOXI into this next phase of growth.
Since joining in 2018, Randy has taken a startup development team and turned it into a best-in-class software machine. He has driven a customer value focus to the team while ensuring scale through automation and high DevOps standards. As a result, AVOXI’s software applications have now become a cohesive cloud platform serving global enterprise customers.
As CTO, Randy will lead AVOXI’s 20+ engineering team on strategic internal growth and product-led solutions. He will collaborate with leadership to fortify a strategic and comprehensive go-to-market strategy for expanding its global network for increased performance and develop new feature sets that bring resolution to current and future customer needs.
Randy brings with him 20+ years of experience in the technology and communications space. Having worked for several established firms, Randy is a distinguished contributor to the industry having built a hosted PBX system for 20,000 SMB customers at Vocalocity (now Vonage Business) and a cloud-based contact center authorization and fraud detection platform at Pindrop.
Randy Layman holds a degree in Computer Science from The Georgia Institute of Technology, 8 US patents, and is co-author of the book, J2EE & Java: Developing Secure Web Applications with Java Technology (Hacking Exposed).
